Class sTYLES

Vinyasa

Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga that uses sun salutations and a powerful breathing technique called Ujayyi breathing to link poses into a creative, continuous flow. This practice cultivates awareness, mindfulness and presence, as well as the excitement of new and challenging poses and sequences.

*Perfect for: All Levels

Power vinyasa - Heated

Take vinyasa and then heat up the room to between 80 and 90 degrees.  We'll get sweaty, and it will be wonderful. 

*Perfect for: Intermediate to Advanced
* Please be aware that this class is of higher intensity than others, so come prepared. We recommend drinking plenty of water before, during and after class, as well as not eating a big meal in the two hours prior to practicing.

Gentle Flow

This class focuses on building strength and flexibility through stretching, breathing, relaxing and practicing asana (yoga postures). The practice emphasizes building awareness to and connecting the body to the breath. Gentle flow calms the mind and gently stretches the body, helping students prepare for a long day ahead or to ease into a relaxing evening.

sunrise Power Flow

Calling all early birds!  Steph wants to wake you up and set the tone for a great day with a powerful sunrise flow. Begin the day with poses that will empower you to move through your day with a clear mind, energized body and peaceful spirit. Options and modifications are offered throughout the class.

Yoga sculpt

What exactly is Yoga Sculpt? Yoga Sculpt is a class that incorporates hand weights and high-intensity cardio bursts for a maximum calorie burning effect. You’ll recognize all of the postures from our Vinyasa & Power Vinyasa classes. Adding hand weights offers a new challenge to traditional yoga classes. Yoga Sculpt also incorporates cardio & core exercises to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Check the schedule to find this special class listing, as it is not available every week. ($12/non-member drop-in | $5/members of the Root Tribe)

Baby & Me

This class provides a comfortable, supportive environment where moms, dads, and caregivers can meet and create special memories with their babies. Prior yoga experience is not needed to join this class. For babies 4-weeks to pre-crawling. Class meets every Friday morning at 9:30 AM. ($12 per class visit)

Restorative Yoga

A practice of few postures, guided relaxation, conscious breathing, and an extended final resting posture - for any level student seeking to reduce the effects of stress. Restorative yoga is designed to support a healthy nervous system and release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. A heavy emphasis is placed on the use on props for a supported and relaxed positioning of your body.

*Perfect for: All Levels | Must be able to get down on the floor
*Due to the limited amount of props, we recommend registering ahead of time to save your space in class.

Playful power

Leave all seriousness, self-doubt, and fear at the door. This class will be very similar to a power yoga class, but we will incorporate a playful mentality as we explore the asanas. We will focus on the joy in moving with a carefree and open heart, while exploring different poses, transitions, and flows.

Root Yoga Policies

Class Cancellations
We get it, stuff comes up!  If you register for a class under a Drop-In or within a 5-Class Pass and cancel your visit within 24 hours of the start time, you will be charged for the class.  If you're a monthly, semester or year-long pass holder, you've got free reign!  No cancellations will be charged, no matter how late you cancel!

One-Student Sign-Ups
Sometimes, only one person shows up to class.  If that's the case, it is our policy to cancel class. You will be reimbursed for the class.

*Each instructor reserves the right to cancel the class if they feel uncomfortable.
