Root Classes

Vinyasa

Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga that uses sun salutations and a powerful breathing technique called Ujayyi breathing to link poses into a creative, continuous flow. This practice cultivates awareness, mindfulness and presence, as well as the excitement of new and challenging poses and sequences.

*Perfect for: All Levels

Power vinyasa - hot

Take vinyasa and then heat up the room to between 80 and 90 degrees.  We'll get sweaty, and it will be wonderful.

*Perfect for: Intermediate to Advanced
* Please be aware that this class is of higher intensity than others, so come prepared. We recommend drinking plenty of water before, during and after class, as well as not eating a big meal within two hours of practicing.

Gentle Flow

This class focuses on building strength and flexibility through stretching, breathing, relaxing and practicing asana (yoga postures). The practice emphasizes building awareness to and connecting the body to the breath. Gentle flow calms the mind and gently stretches the body, helping students prepare for a long day ahead or to ease into a relaxing evening.

*Perfect for: All Levels

Power Flow

In Vinyasa Yoga (breath-synchronized movement), the teacher guides you from one pose to the next, following your breath, and bringing an inner aliveness into your body, mind and spirit. Power Flow Classes will be more athletic, requiring some stamina and also incorporating more advanced postures.

*Perfect for: Intermediate to Advanced

Level I/II

This is a moderately paced vinyasa based class where students will continue to build their yoga foundations. Teachers will offer modifications to make the practice accessible to ALL students of varying levels, whether you are aiming to incorporate new poses into your practice or build on what you know. Students should understand their own bodies and be willing and able to modify accordingly. At times, postures will be held for longer periods of time to increase strength and concentration.

*Perfect for: All Levels

Restorative Yoga

A practice of few postures, guided relaxation, conscious breathing, and an extended final resting posture - for any level student seeking to reduce the effects of stress. Restorative yoga is designed to support a healthy nervous system and release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. A heavy emphasis is placed on the use on props for a supported and relaxed positioning of your body.

*Perfect for: All Levels
*Due to the limited amount of props, we recommend registering ahead of time to save your space in class.

Sunrise flow

Are you an early riser? We are too. Begin the day with gentle stretches, sun salutations and fundamental poses empowering you to move through your day with a clear mind, energized body and peaceful spirit. Options and modifications are offered throughout the class.

*Perfect for: All Levels

lunchtime flow

Reset and recharge your day with a yoga break. Release tension, free your mind and vitalize your body to be prepared for whatever the rest of your day brings. This 45 minute class is punctual and changing rooms are available if you are headed back to work. Options and modifications are offered throughout the class.

*Perfect for: All Levels

Core power vinyasa

Practiced in a warm environment and set to an energizing playlist, Core Power Vinyasa will fire up your core strength and build heat from within. Connect breath to movement and practice proper posture alignment through full-body sequences that strengthen, balance and challenge both your body and mind. Core Power Vinyasa classes are more athletic and require stamina and basic yoga knowledge.

*Perfect for: Intermediate and Advanced
